Madison + Jordan // Suquamish Clearwater Resort Wedding

If someone close to you asks you what they should gift you for your wedding, tell them to hire a planner for you! Jordan’s mom, Lou Ann, reached out to me and asked if she could hire me for him and Stephanie’s intimate wedding. I thought that that was the cutest thing ever, and of course I said yes! We got along so well and they really trusted me to bring everything together for them. In fact, we only had 5 Zoom meetings in total throughout the entire process! That's it - they really trusted me to make this design happen and it all went SO smoothly. A dream!

Throughout the months of us working together and obviously being there on their wedding day, I got to learn a lot about them. For example, they have a big, bubbly Italian family, so I felt right at home! I honestly felt so at peace being surrounded by their friends and family, which was a great indication that we were a perfect fit.

Madison & Jordan originally met while stationed in England. They were both in the Air Force and quickly realized that they had found their person. As have most modern couples, they met in the craziness of the COVID lockdown and ended up moving in together in October 2021. They got married in England so that they wouldn’t have to be separated while in the military, but celebrated it big when with both families in September. Talk about the best of both worlds!

Personalizing their Suquamish Clearwater Resort Wedding

For their wedding, we really wanted to incorporate little details that were personal to the couple. For example, M & J made these tiny spice bottles (their favorite type of food is BBQ)

as favors for their guests, and they turned out so cute! We also wanted to include a subtle airplane/travel theme, so they cut and folded little paper airplanes to use throughout the decor. One of Madison’s absolute favorite things to do is travel, so it was a perfect opportunity. As you can see in the photos, they heavily utilized the waterfront scenery at the resort for both their ceremony and reception. This gave an incredible backdrop for the day!

The indoor part of their reception was decorated with photos of the happy couple from throughout their relationship. Now, because they met in the Air Force, their wedding was actually the first time their families had ever met! Let me tell you, that could have easily gone south. But both their families hit it off instantly - it was like they had known each other for forever. The vibes were immaculate the entire time, and I had a blast being around such positive people. Due to the intimate guest count, we were able to get everyone in one group photo - how awesome is that? One more reason why I love intimate weddings!!

We kept the decor super elegant and neutral, really focusing on complementing the fantastic view we had the entire time. Both Madison and Jordan had custom, signature cocktails curated (woot woot!) for them and their guests, which were a huge hit! They ended the night with a paper airplane send off, and then went to the casino to party with friends.

If you’re looking for someone to help you create an authentic and elevated wedding, you’re definitely in the right place. To chat with me about what you’ve got in mind for your big day, you can fill out my contact form and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Of course, M & J's Suquamish Clearwater Resort wedding couldn't have been a dream come true without their kick ass vendor team!
