Cassidy + Joey // Summer Mid-Century Boho Wedding
When someone says "mid-century boho wedding," you already know I'm all ears. Cassidy & Joey's ultimate summer boho wedding was to die for! Not only did they want a rich, rustic color palette, but they chose to DIY quite a few things which added the best personal touches. I'm all for couples who are down to take the time and personalize their wedding to their heart's content!
Their mid-century boho wedding vision
One thing about Cassidy is that she knew exactly what she wanted. The clearer vision you have for your day, the better I can bring it to life for you! We decided on this warm, boho color palette and the rest seemed to just all come together. She wanted pampas for the boho feel, but ceramic textured vases, cheesecloth material, and greens for a mid-century modern aesthetic. She hand dyed over 100 (yes, one hundred) feet of cheesecloth and spent months collecting materials for the décor, which she was very intentional with.
Watching their day come to life
They decided to have their intimate wedding at her sister Jaimie's house, where everyone got ready the same morning. Cassidy's best friend even did everyone's makeup on-site. Their wedding party was definitely on the bigger side with 19 people in total. This made for such a fun, excitement-filled experience the entire day! After everyone was ready, Cassidy & Joey privately read their vows to each other, which is exactly when the waterworks started. I will never get tired of watching two people declare their love for each other!
For their official ceremony, the arbor arrangement I made was decorated in beautiful, boho, rustic tones and of course accents of pampas. As Cassidy walked down the aisle, Joey was pleasantly surprised at her choice of song. She wanted to choose something special, so she went with one of his favorites. After the ceremony was over, they took their photos and got straight to the reception. Their first dance was short and sweet so that they could get everyone onto the dance floor ASAP! This is a great option for couples who are on the shyer side, or aren't a fan of the spotlight being on them. Don't forget, we can bend the rules to create a day that's custom to YOU!
At the end of the day, everyone had a great time dancing the night away. I felt so honored to be apart of such a joy-filled celebration. Cassidy & Joey's family were so sweet, and even the officiant thanked me for helping their wedding day go off without a hitch.
And of course, here are all the amazing vendors they chose that this day couldn't have gone on without!
